Bio Notes - WIP

Age: mid-late 40s

Bio notes: SO I'm still working this guy out, but basically I love the idea of him being a Rebel. Except he wouldn't be quite as dedicated as Cassian, instead more like a smuggler turned good-ish. Like perhaps he was an engineer at one point who could have gone either way, Empire or no, and now mostly has an affinity for working on ships/flying and reading people. I can see him being an intelligence officer for that reason, but also not someone you would quite expect. Definitely 'scruffy-looking' - that's why I'm using Ben as Danny Rayburn icons. The working outside so much would explain the tan, the freckles, and the usually unkept hair. Accent a little more relaxed, not quite as Imperial-like and controlled, more of a drawl. SO maybe part-Cassian, part-Han Solo?

So in this AU world, I would love if Galen and Orson still had that history - the Future's Program, Krennic's 'nocturnal carousing' and stopping fights for his friend, etc. Maybe they even began to build the Death Star together, or came up with the plan together. But this Krennic went a different way, wasn't keen on building the weapon or just being loyal to the Empire, period. Maybe Tarkin took his thunder earlier on, and Krennic was just like fuck it, I don't need the Empire anyway. So then Galen and Lyra's story could have progressed much like the movie, but altered a little.

I would love to write him against a Jyn as the unenthusiastic guardian-type role, taking on Cassian's role of watching out for her, going along to try to take down her parents, etc. I'd also love to write him against a Cassian as the less dedicated, makeshift Rebel who perhaps has personal info on the Ersos - I would love it if he was still old friends with Galen and/or Lyra, so he feels torn about helping the Rebels take them out.

(OR we could do role-reversal: if your character, Jyn or someone else, is a Rebel now they are the Imperial. Could be fun.)

Personality-wise, I can see him as a more relaxed, lazy-type of Krennic - still cunning, good at reading people, probably a little manipulative when he wants to be. Probably drinks and smokes a little too much. But mostly he thinks life sorta just screwed him, so after he left the Empire he thought fuck it - I'm gonna be a bounty hunger/smuggler/neutral type, what-have-you. Until the Rebels get their hands on him and he basically has no choice. Maybe he gets captured by the Imperials at some point and the Rebellion 'rescues' him, forcing him to work for them? IDK, the options are endless! We can work them out for our specific purposes. :D Probably he'll still be annoying as hell for the Rebels, but he's more 'human' than canon!Krennic.

I'll get a permissions post up eventually, but basically he's multi-ship. I'm open to m/f and m/m, but mostly just to canon-mates from the movie or SW universe right now! P.S. If my character idea or the fact I'm using Ben as Danny Rayburn as his faceclaim bugs you, don't play with me! I'm just here to have fun. :D
